Label Security

Gem Mint Grading labels are more than just information about a particular card, it incorporates several features we feel are vital to the hobby and collectors alike. First let us say security is a huge part of the authenticity of any sports card or collectable. That security not only enables the rightful owner to be able to identify and track an individual card, but also helps to assign a unique number and identity that adds value. At Gem Mint Grading we feel it is not only a good idea to personalize a graded card but to also mark it with a personal trait unique to only that card. So at Gem Mint grading we have incorporated three personal and unique features that only the card in a specific graded slab can provide.

The first unique feature is the population number. Yes we will have a population chart coming in the near future. Gem mInt Grading starts with #GMG on all of our cards, followed by the date, and then a specific number for the card that day ie (00001, 00002, 00003, etc.). This makes tracking a specific card very easy. By using this type of population number subset, Gem Mint Grading can tell the rightful owner in seconds valuable information about the card, the day it was slabbed, unique identifiers, and other useful features when need arises.  Once a card has a unique population number we then scan every card for a proprietary set of grading technology tools.

The first of those tools is called “Spot On Centering Technology”, next is the “Intelligent Surface Mapping Integration”, followed by the “Corner Quality Simulation” and “Edge Definition Detection” and lastly the “Color Grading and Matching Wheel”. Lastly we like to add a personalized name or business name to the label before encasing the card in the slab. This adds a touch of ownership that can only be removed by breaking the card from the slab, which renders the grade and value of the card to a raw common card. These security features only make good sense. With card and memorabilia prices skyrocketing why take a chance. These features prevent theft, accidental switching of cards, and out right fakes and fraud.

Lastly we would like you the customer to be able to choose labels to your liking. We are doing team match color labels or Black and White labels. We also have reserved a special label for cards we call FLAWLESS. These cards are a GEM Mint 10 Flawless cards with no imperfections. Those labels will be  a Black and Gold Label depicting the word Flawless and a number value of 10+. The first of those cards just went out on 04/06/2021 To a 2021 Topps Yadier Molina 1986 Retro card, number 86B-19.
